My Dear Friend in Christ,
As I look back on the
fifty-four year history of our Bishop’s Appeal, I am
profoundly moved by the ongoing support of the
people in this Diocese. Year after year so many
families give selflessly and generously to the
Appeal. In these times of rampant materialism and
personal financial
struggles, the sacrifices that are made year in and
year out, have transcended individual interests and
need, strengthening our universal Church and our
Diocese.
Your unstinting
commitment inspires me, especially when I look
around our 14-county Diocese and see the fruits of
our efforts…a Diocese that has withstood the
challenges and crises of a modern society. Your
support of the Bishop’s
Appeal sustains all of us, in our local parishes,
where we live and worship, in our Diocese, where
central services link us with the Church and its
ministries, and in our communities where Catholics
and non-Catholics are bonded by a shared
responsibility to help and guide those in need.
Please give as
generously as you can to the 54th Bishop’s Appeal.
Your gifts to the Bishop’s Appeal directly impact
children, families, leaders, teachers and many
others who celebrate in our churches, learn in our
schools, receive comfort through our agencies and
lead in our communities.
The Bishop’s Appeal
connects us in faith and love, and our world is a
better place for it.
Sincerely yours in
Christ

Howard J. Hubbard, D.D.
