In 165 parishes…the Office of the Permanent Diaconate and the Office for Diaconate Formation support the deacons who serve those in need of help or healing. 

Your gifts to the Bishop’s Appeal fund the Office of the Permanent Diaconate and the Office for Diaconate Formation.  These Offices provide training and ongoing assistance for the men who are called to a vocation of service, and for their families, who support them in their ministry.

The deacons who serve in our parishes are an essential part of daily parish life. They live, work and worship in our communities, and create a strong connection between our Diocese and its civic, academic, medical, social, and business partners.
