Office of Human Resources  

The Office of Human Resources exists to serve the employees and the administrators in
the Pastoral Center and the parishes of the Diocese by acting as a resource to both. The
services performed by this office include:

For the Pastoral Center :  

v     Recruiting and hiring new personnel as needed.

v     Maintaining all personnel files.

v     Chairperson of the Personnel Committee.

v     Liaison with the Finance Office.

v     Separation of employees as needed.

v     Consultation with the Bishop, Chancellors, and Department Directors as needed.  

For the Parishes:  

v     Serve as a resource for parish leaders and employees.

v     Consult with pastors, parish life directors and/or administrators as requested.

v     Assist with recruiting and hiring new personnel as requested.

v     Assist with separation of employees.  

For both the Pastoral Center and the Parishes:  

v     Review existing personnel policies, research and develop new policies as appropriate for employees.  Distribution of said policies.

v     Oversight of the benefits program.

v     Coordinate the Diocesan program for Unemployment Insurance.

v     Establish guidelines for compensation of employees in the Pastoral Center and for positions in parishes.  

In addition this office:  

v     Coordinates the “safe environment“ program for all Diocesan employees and volunteers.

v     Coordinates the program for background screening for all Diocesan employees and volunteers.
