The Office of Pastoral Planning:

Pastoral Planning Advisory Council
PPAC

“The mission of the church is carried out by means of that activity through which, in obedience to Christ’s command and moved by the grace and love of the holy Spirit, the church makes itself fully present to all individuals and peoples in order to lead them to the faith, freedom and peace of Christ by example of its life and teaching, by the sacraments and by other means of grace.  Its aim is to open up for all men and women a free and sure path to full participation in the mystery of Christ.”

The Pastoral Planning Advisory Council (PPAC) is a Diocesan body that advises and assists the Bishop and the Office of Pastoral Planning.

Members come from all parts of the Diocese of Albany and meet on a regular basis to plan the future of the Diocese.  This group of dedicated women and men, including lay persons, religious and clergy, dedicates time and effort to help plan the future of the Diocese of Albany where all of the baptized may realize their potential to enhance the mission and ministry of Jesus Christ in their environs.  Their current effort includes “Called to BE Church.”
