Parish Life

Altar-Rosary Society:
Open to all women of the parish age 18 and over. Monthly meetings are held in the Parish Center following 10:30am Mass. Assist with providing for and taking care of our Sanctuary. Provide prayer support, socialization and parish financial assistance.

Faith Formation: For young people of the parish, includes preparation for First Eucharist and Confirmation. Weekly sessions at Saint Paul the Apostle School. Pre-K - Grade 8: Monday evening 6:30pm - 7:45pm Grades 9 - 11: Fall and spring - a six-week series both semesters, Sunday evening 6:00pm - 7:30pm.

Finance Committee: Assists with parish finances, budget and monitors income.

Holy Name Society: Open to all men of the parish age 18 and over. Monthly Sunday meetings are held in the Parish Center. Available for parish service - e.g. Altar Servers once per month; parking control for major events, sponsor parish fellowship gatherings and fund-raising/social parish events.

Pastoral Council: The “visioning body” of our parish. Open to all adult parishioners. Meetings are held the third Wednesday of each month, except July, August and December. Members are elected for 2 year terms.

Prayer Network: Volunteers (change monthly) to receive and pass on prayer requests and needs.

Properties Committee: Meets periodically to assess needs and make suggestions regarding Church property.

RCIA: Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults, held in conjunction with other local parishes. Assist those who are interested in the Catholic Church.

SICM: Our parish sends representatives to the Schenectady Inner City Ministry monthly meeting.

Social Committee: Meets periodically to plan and execute various fellowship events throughout the year.

Worship Committee: Meets seasonally to plan our major liturgical celebrations; review needs and plan improvements to our worship pattern.
