St. Patrick's

St Patrick's Church Est. 1869 is the oldest Catholic Church in our region.
St. Patrick's has a very colorful history actually dating back to the Revolutionary War.  Even though the first brick work for the church was laid
in 1869 the ancestors of the founders dated back to the 1770's. Many of the ancestors settled in Johnstown by the request of Sir William Johnson.
They were mostly of Irish and Scottish descent. For more on the history of the church please check out our Church History Page.
