Retreat

This ministry presents mini-retreats and/or evenings of reflection throughout the year and one full retreat each fall. Focusing on fellowship, building community, and the individual’s relationship with Jesus, these retreats provide gentle counterpoints to the rigors and stress of our daily lives.

The 2007 fall event is a home retreat running Friday evening until 9:30 and then picking up again Saturday morning to finish in the late afternoon. It is hoped that the home setting and change from overnight accommodation to “nights off” will enable those with weekend or evening responsibilities to still experience the enrichment and bonding of a full event.

While the activities themselves are shrouded in excited secrecy, one tangible aspect of the retreat is fully visible. A banner celebrating the success of the individual is placed in the church immediately following each retreat. To date, thirteen banners signifying thirteen years of successful activity grace the sidewalls and wings of our church. Click here for an invitation to this year’s event.
