Please join us for our monthly mass:
10:00 AM on the Sunday following the first Friday of each month.

Each Sodality member promises to spread knowledge of and devotion to Saint Anne, the grandmother of our Lord, and to support the parish as the Sodality deems most beneficial.

When a member passes on, the Ladies of St. Anne’s Sodality will meet at the funeral home as a group to pray the St. Anne’s rosary. At the funeral, the Ladies of St. Anne will attend the mass as an honor guard.

The Officers and Committee Chairs hold their monthly board meeting on the first Wednesday of the month in church at 7:00 p.m. At this time, they prepare for the upcoming scheduled meeting, which is usually the third Wednesday of the month

Activities

St. Anne’s is proud of its active membership. In addition to the traditional Covered Dish suppers, Box Socials, and annual Christmas Party, the Sodality holds a Communion Breakfast in May and a Harvest Brunch in October.

The Dessert and Card Party in November is a special favorite. For a small fee, parishioners and the public are invited to spend the evening playing favorite card or board games in a convivial atmosphere. Raffles and an extensive array of door prizes add to the excitement. Coffee, tea, and a spectacular dessert table round out the event.

The April Rummage and Bake Sale offers the public the opportunity to purchase gently-used clothing, house wares, and children’s items as well as baked items donated by Sodality members.

Also in April, the Strawberry Festival features an evening of fresh strawberry shortcake and an addictive, fun-filled auction. Members laugh, joke, and attempt to outbid each other on inexpensive items donated especially for the event.

The Saint Anne’s Novena (Triduum) is the highlight of our year. The Triduum consists of evening mass on July 24, 25, and 26. On July 25, we introduce our officers for the upcoming year and induct our new members. The Triduum culminates on July 26 with a candlelight ceremony and Benediction of the Blessed Sacrament. Refreshments are served following the celebration.

Prayer to St. Anne

Glorious St. Anne, filled with compassion for those who invoke thee and with love for those who suffer, heavily laden with the weight of my troubles, I cast myself at thy feet and humbly beg of thee to take the present affair which I recommend to thee, under thy special protection.

Vouchsafe to commend it to thy daughter, the Blessed Virgin Mary, and lay it before the throne of Jesus, so that He may bring it to a happy issue. Cease not to intercede for me until my request is granted.

Above all, obtain for me the grace of one day beholding my God face to face and with thee and Mary and all the saints, praising and blessing Him for all eternity. Amen.
