Ministries

 

This is a partial listing of ministries at the Church of St. Margaret Mary. If you are interested in taking part in any of these ministries please contact the parish office.

Altar Servers
Assist the priest and deacon during liturgical celebrations. Anyone third grade to adult is welcome. 

Lectors
Proclaim the Word of God during the liturgy. Anyone Confirmation age and older is welcome to take part.

Eucharistic Ministers
Assist the priest and deacon with the distribution of Holy Communion. Training is provided.

Music 
The Choir sings at the 11:15 mass from the Sunday following Labor Day to the Feast of Corpus Christi. All are welcome. Cantors lead the congregation at all masses. If you are interested in the choir or becoming a cantor, please contact the Director of Music at the parish office. 

Ushers/Hospitality
Ushers/Hospitality ministers take up the collection during mass and generally assist people in seating, with hearing assist devices, etc. They generally distribute bulletins at the end of mass.

Lazarus Group
This group assists at funeral liturgies. They support the families of the deceased by acting as greeters, readers, candle bearers and Eucharistic Ministers.

Art and Environment
This group shares their time and talent to prepare the church for the various liturgical seasons. (i.e. decorating for Christmas and Easter)

Faith Formation
This is an opportunity to help bring the faith to the next generation by being involved in the Faith Formation Program. If you are interested in teaching or helping out in some other way with the program, please contact the parish office.

RCIA
The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults is a team that works with teens and adults who are interested in being welcomed fully into the Catholic Church.

Seniors
The Senior group has activities such as trips, luncheons and monthly meetings.

Granny Squares
This group of ladies meet once a week to do needle work projects. They donate the completed work to the poor. (i.e., mittens and hats for the homeless)

Communion to the Sick and Homebound
This group brings Communion and visits with the sick and homebound of our parish.
