Mission Statement for the Parish Families of Sacred Heart and St. Mary of Mount Carmel:   We, the Roman Catholic Community of Gloversville, welcome all to participate in fulfilling  the mission of Jesus Christ. We serve our community’s spiritual, physical, emotional and social needs  through our example of spreading the gospel message.

The Roman Faith Community of Sacred Heart and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel are two Catholic parishes served by the same pastor, Rev. Donald Czelusniak.   Both parish churches are in Gloversville :  Sacred Heart is located at 189 Kingsboro Avenue , and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel is located at 149 S. Main Street .  The parishes are about two miles apart within the city limits.   Sacred Heart and St. Mary of Mt. Carmel are linked parishes.  We presently function independently but share the same Pastor, Joint Pastoral Council, Joint Finance Committee, one unified Faith Formation/Youth Ministry program.  Each parish has its own Trustees, financial accounts and various committees.
