Youth Ministry Weekend Meals Program
Initiated as a project of our Youth Core Group, St. Mary’s Church in Crescent prepares and delivers meals to Joseph’s Shelter, a shelter for the homeless, and Bethany Hospitality Center, a daytime shelter and soup kitchen, located in Troy .   We usually prepare lunch for both locations one time per month.  All meals are prepared on Friday evenings beginning at 7pm.  Preparation takes 1 – 1½  hours.

The meals are delivered on Saturday.   We meet at 10:30am in the Parish Center .  Lunch needs to arrive and be available by 11:30 at Bethany House and 11:45 at Joseph’s Shelter.  Allow approximately 1 to 1 ½ hours after the delivery time to serve the food.   All volunteers who deliver the meal are welcome to stay to serve and share the meal with the residents.

You can participate by preparing, delivering, or contributing a food item.  Anyone who is interested should contact the Mary Anne Cureau at smcff@nycap.rr.com or 371-9521.  Most of our communication on this program is done via e-mail. Dates of the weekend meals may be found in the bulletin or on this website under Youth Ministry - Upcoming Events.
