January 8

Kickoff Sunday we will bless the banners for the church and lampposts at the beginning of each of the liturgies this weekend with recitation of the St. Jude Novena Prayer, asking our patron, St. Jude, to intercede for us and give us his blessing in this special year of our Diamond Jubilee.

February 4 - 19

Essay Contest registration – contestants will have the opportunity to interview long-time parish members to compose their essay on “Why is it important for us to celebrate our 60 year history?”.

8th Annual Cabin Fever Pasta Dinner to gather with all those who love great food and good conversation!

5th Annual Community Service Award Dinner to honor two long time parishioners, Alson Spain Sr. and Johanna Flannigan, who have worked hard, making St. Jude the Apostle the wonderful community that it is, a warm and welcoming family.

Ministry Sunday honoring all those who have dedicated themselves to  ministry within the past 60 years with a special liturgy in which members  of the community who have  been involved over the 60 years will participate.  This liturgy will be followed by a reception in Dammann Hall at which time the Essay Contest winner(s) will be announced.

Annual Appreciation Dinner at Franklin Terrace to continue the celebration of all those who offer their time and talent in ministry and service.


July 8 


Tent Mass - a tribute to our roots, we will go back to the days when Mass was celebrated in the tent, we will pitch a tent in the parking lot and celebrate Mass; it will be our own tent revival.  Following the tent Mass we will have an old fashioned strawberry social.

Annual Parish Picnic will be held on the parish grounds as a way to celebrate the days when people would gather from all over the area and the nation on the grounds of St. Jude for the Horse shows.  It will be an old fashioned picnic with a pie baking contest, sack races, three-legged races, a disc jockey playing 50’s music and good food in celebration of our faith as family and friends.

Fall Family International Food Festival with $10,000 Raffle, Great Food, entertainment, games, crafts, and many other activities. Vendor & Craft Fair Application


October 28

Jubilee Mass celebrated by Bishop Howard Hubbard and Rev. Anthony Ligato on the Feast Day of our Patron St. Jude, followed by a catered light reception in Dammann Hall.  Later in the afternoon we will gather at Franklin Terrace Ballroom for a dinner banquet which will include a retrospect of the history of the parish.


Events Throughout the Year of Celebration:

  • Displays of the history of the parish will be at all events and in the church and school.
  • Parish Picture Book Directory will be published.
  • Calendar and pictures of events posted on website.
