Post-Abortion Bereavement Group

Location:  St. Peter’s Hospital, 315 South Manning Boulevard, Albany, NY.

A bereavement group for parents who have terminated a pregnancy for medical or genetic reasons is designed to assist persons in dealing with feelings of loss, grief, guilt and readjustment as well as offer an opportunity to explore the impact of the decision to terminate the pregnancy on significant relationships with family, friends and God.  Meetings are co-facilitated by members of the nursing and pastoral care staffs of St. Peter’s Hospital as well as genetic counselors for Albany Medical Center .  Pre-Registration is Required.  There is no fee.  For Information about dates of the next available group or to pre-register, please call Maureen Cavanagh, RN, MS, at (518) 525-1872.
