Besides
all that the Kateri Shrine has to offer, a
Mohawk-style chapel, a Native American
exhibit, an archeological dig of the
seventeenth century Mohawk village of
Caughnawaga, nature trails, a guest house, we
now offer the use of a brand new facility.
Staring in Spring 2006, our new
longhouse-style guest cabin will be available
to groups up to 24.
The cabin has two large separate rooms,
each with full bath, 12 bunk beds on each
side.
This facility is available for use by
supervised youth groups and also adults from
May 1 to October 30.
The Shrine will offer youth retreats on
Native American spirituality and culture,
which will include a sharing of Mohawk and
Franciscan spirituality.
These two-day retreats will be offered
three times during the Shrine season, May,
July and October.
Suggested donation for retreat is $25
per person per day. This includes fees for
lodging, food and materials for Indian crafts.
Youth will receive a clear knowledge of
who Blessed Kateri was.
Adjoining this cabin we still offer the
older guesthouse which has five bedrooms and
two baths.
This house is available for a donation
of $25 per day for one person plus $5 for each
additional person
