CHANGE: THIS YEAR’S SPRING ENRICHMENT TO RUN MAY 17-19, ONLY
Saturday program dropped this year due to schedule conflict
Although Spring Enrichment 2017 was originally scheduled to run from Wednesday, May 17 through Saturday, May 20, a scheduling conflict has resulted in a decision to end the program with the 4-6pm session on Friday, May 19. SAVE THE DATE
SPRING ENRICHMENT 2017:
Wednesday, May 17- Friday, May 19 at the College of Saint Rose in Albany
Saturday, May 20 at Maria College in Albany, St. Francis de Sales in Herkimer, St. Mary’s in Oneonta, and Our Lady of the Annunciation in Queensbury
Once again the Catholic School Office is coordinating plans for the Albany Diocese’s 2017 Spring Enrichment which will be held from Wednesday, May 17 through Saturday, May 20. The theme for this year’s program is “Who’s steering your boat?”
Spring Enrichment will continue its heritage of providing opportunities for those involved in catechetical ministries – catechists, youth ministers and Catholic school teachers – so that they can faithfully and effectively pass on the faith to others. Along with its traditional schedule of two hour sessions, the conference will also include a number of mini-sessions, focusing on specific topics within an hour long timeframe.
Continuing our longstanding partnership, the weekday portion of the program – Wednesday through Friday – will be held at Albany’s College of Saint Rose. On Saturday (May 20) we will move to Maria College in Albany and have sessions – both in-person and live streamed – at St. Francis de Sales in Herkimer, St. Mary’s in Oneonta and Our Lady of the Annunciation in Queensbury.
In addition to attracting men and women engaged in catechetical ministry, Spring Enrichment draws parish staff members and volunteers who want to find out more about their ministries as well as adults who wish to learn more about their faith. During this year’s Spring Enrichment we will also be welcoming the teachers from all 22 of our Diocese’s Catholic Schools who will be taking part in their annual “Faith Formation Day” on Friday, May 19.
On March 9 we will be posting the complete details for this May’s program here on the website and the overall schedule will also appear in that week’s issue of The Evangelist.
[Note: This was the original announcement for Spring Enrichment 2017, before we learned of the scheduling conflict with the Diocese’s Diaconate Ordination, which ultimately caused us to drop this year’s Saturday’s program.]
