The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis assists parishes to recruit and employ catechetical and youth ministry leaders. The Office maintains a listing of current parish openings and employment files for applicants seeking employment. Parishes with openings or anticipating openings need to contact the Office of Evangelization and Catechesis for information on search process and hiring guidelines. Employment opportunities may include full-time and part-time positions. Parishes with openings are encouraged to use The Evangelist to advertise employment opportunities.

Catechetical and youth ministry leaders, certified by the Diocese, who are seeking new employment need to contact the Diocesan Director and submit an updated resume and three letters of recommendation. The Office of Evangelization and Catechesis will send pastors and search committees applicant files upon request or applicants may contact parishes directly.

Persons, new to the diocese, new to ministry, and/or without Diocesan certification, seeking full-time or part-time catechetical and/or youth ministry positions must be interviewed by the Diocesan Director prior to hiring. A current resume and three letters of reference is required to begin an applicant folder.
