Mystery Of God: Spirit (HS, ADULT)
Have you ever thought about the Holy Spirit? Have you ever described the Spirit to anyone? This video provides us with metaphors, images, and stories that give a rich description of the powerful presence of the Spirit in everyday life. And once we recognize the Spirit's presence, as shown in this video, we begin to mold our lives around the Spirit's prompting deep within our hearts. Families and parish groups alike will find their faith supported by this illuminating story.

Catholic Update Video: Handing on the Faith: Forming Confirmation Sponsors (ADULT)

In the witness segment, Confirmation sponsors share about their understanding of their role and how they fulfill it. In the teaching segment, Julie Lytle, youth minister and catechist, shares key points about the role of Confirmation sponsor from her booklet "Handing on the Fatih: When You Are a Confirmation Sponsor". Sacrament Series--Confirmation (Emementary Grades 4-6)
All of us, from time to time, experience weakness in our faith. Confirmation challenges us to move past our weaknesses and sins into a deeper commitment to Christ. Challenging young people to remember Jesus' love and serve others, this video uses the actions of daily living, Jesus' life and the ritual actions of the believing community to call us to grow in Christ.

Spirit and Confirmation (Emementary Grades 5-6, JH, HS)
These videos challenge us to see the Spirit revealed as giver of life, giver of gifts and maker and keeper of promises. Excellent for classrooms and Confirmation preparation and RCIA. Study guide includes directions for use, activities, prayer celebrations and prayers. PART 1 explores these themes: Who is the Spirit? When has the Spirit been present in salvation history? What are our experiences of the Spirit in our daily living, in the life of Jesus, the Church and world? How do we name our gifts in the service of others? What are the fruits of the Spirit? PART 2 explores these themes: What is the work of the Spirit? What scriptural images speak of the Spirit? What are the traditional seven gifts of the Spirit? How do we ritually celebrate the presence of the Holy Spirit in the Sacrament of Confirmation? How does the Spirit breathe in the Sacraments of Initiation?

Who is the Spirit? (Emementary Grades 1-4)
This video invites children to become more familiar with the working of the Holy Spirit as friend, helper and teacher of the message of Jesus. In the life of the Spirit received in Baptism, children explore the gestures and actions of Confirmation and discover how to use their gifts for others in making the world a better place.

Understanding Christian Symbols (JH, HS, ADULT)
The video explores several Christian symbols and their roots in personal human experience and salvation history--connections to the eternal which move us to respond to God with love. From the Alpha and Omega to tongues of fire, from the baptismal font to the cross and crown, this video links the richness of tradition to the life of the contemporary believer. This is a much-needed resource for Confirmation classes and is equally appropriate for adult groups. It incorporates history and theology in a visually compelling format, and increases students' understanding of other Christian traditions as well as their own. A guide with discussion questions and suggested activities accompanies the video.

Sacramentos--Confirmacion (ADULT)
This is the fourth in a series of eight videos in Spanish which explain the meaning of "sacrament" and the special graces of the seven sacraments. Each program features real-life situations in documentary style and gives personal witness of Hispanics who tell how the sacraments affect their daily life. The videos are inspiring, challenging, and present thought-provoking questions that lead to group discussion. This fourth video shows how Christians rely on the gifts of the Holy Spirit to give witness to Christ.

Invitation To Grace: A Look At The Sacraments--Video 2 (ADULT)
This is the second in a four-part series involving an integration of theological content, catechetical methodology, and personal spiritual renewal. It features Rev. Richard Fragomeni, a priest from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, who is on the faculty of the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. In each session, Father Fragomeni gives a 30-40 minute presentation on the sacraments followed by a dialogue with a panel of catechetical and pastoral leaders from the Albany Diocese on the meaning of the presentation for personal lives of faith, followed by an application to current pastoral practice and catechetical ministry. This series is designed to be used by an experienced facilitator with a small group. In the Albany Diocese, it can be used for independent study to satisfy certification requirements of eight hours for Advanced Catechist Certification in Sacraments. This session is entitled: Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist.

The Sacrament of Confirmation: Past and Present (ADULT)
Expert author Kathleen Chesto leads viewers through the development and history of Confirmation, starting from biblical times to post-Vatican II.
