Walks With Jesus: Vol. 1-Eucharist (HS, ADULT)
This is the first of three videos on the sacraments; the other two are on Reconciliation and Anointing of the Sick. This video includes three 7-minute meditations that are ideal for individual and group use in hospitals and hospices, adult education, discussion starters, RCIA, or parent meetings for sacramental programs: Skeeter's Story, Granny Hale's Story, and Eucharistic Minister's Story. Well-known author Mark Link uses the power of video to convey new meaning and insight to the sacraments. Combining scripture, prayer, true stories, and music, he underscores this truth: the celebration of the Eucharist is of central importance in the life of the Church.

Catholic Update Video: Eucharist: Celebrating Christ Present (ADULT)
The story segment introduces viewers to Assunta, a devoted grandmother and parish sacristan, who is busy getting her church ready for the celebrations of Holy Week and helping her daughters plan a traditional Italian Easter dinner. When she is suddenly hospitalized after an accident, Assunta and her family must face the question of who can carry on the traditions of faith and family. Their story mirrors the Christian story of Jesus' death and resurrection as remembered in the celebration of Eucharist. The Witness Segment gives real-life Catholics an opportunity to testify to what the celebration of Eucharist in their parish communities means. The Teaching Segment explores how the "Easter Triduum," the celebrations of Holy Thursday, Good Friday and Easter, can focus our understanding of Eucharist in a balanced manner. The program concludes with a music video reflection, "We Walk With Hunger."

Sacramentos--La Eucaristia (ADULT)
This is the third in a series of eight videos in Spanish which explain the meaning of "sacrament" and the special graces of the seven sacraments. Each program features real-life situations in documentary style and gives personal witness of Hispanics who tell how the sacraments affect their daily life. The videos are inspiring, challenging, and present thought-provoking questions that lead to group discussion. This third video presents the Eucharist as the food of Christian life.

Invitation To Grace: A Look At The Sacraments--Video 2 (ADULT)
This is the second in a four-part series involving an integration of theological content, catechetical methodology, and personal spiritual renewal. It features Rev. Richard Fragomeni, a priest from the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, who is on the faculty of the Catholic Theological Union in Chicago. In each session, Father Fragomeni gives a 30-40 minute presentation on the sacraments followed by a dialogue with a panel of catechetical and pastoral leaders from the Albany Diocese on the meaning of the presentation for personal lives of faith, followed by an application to current pastoral practice and catechetical ministry. This series is designed to be used by an experienced facilitator with a small group. In the Albany Diocese, it can be used for independent study to satisfy certification requirements of eight hours for Advanced Catechist Certification in Sacraments. This session is entitled: Sacraments of Initiation: Baptism, Confirmation, Eucharist.

History of the Eucharist: What the Eucharist Really Means (JH)
Mike and Olivia are two teens with some questions about the Mass: Why do we have to go every week? What are we really doing? Why do we repeat the same thing over and over? If I can feel close to God when I am alone, why do I have to go to Mass? This two-part program answers these questions and more. PART I (14 min.) explains in dialogue style how the Eucharist has developed from the Last Supper to the present. PART II (18 min.) explains the parts of the Mass in a way that helps teens relate to it more personally. Each of the parts is followed with a topic development segment to further unfold the previous presentation.

The Angel's First Communion Lesson (Elementary; family)
Angel Michaela and friends offer their heavenly aid to catechists and children in this video. In simple, clear language the angels speak of Jesus' presence at Mass, of the very special gift of the Eucharist. They remind children of their baptism and of the forgiveness they celebrate in the sacrament of reconciliation. Discussion includes ways children can prepare for First Communion: praying every day, paying attention in religion class, going to Mass every week with their family, and reading stories from the Bible. From Gwen Costello.

Meals of Jesus (Life of Jesus set) (K-3, Family)
Meals of Jesus (Holy Thursday, Eucharist). Children discover the different meals Jesus ate with friends and the special meal He celebrated at the Last Supper. In this video, children reflect on the meaning of meals in their everyday lives and are invited to discover ways to give blessings and thanks.

Eucharist: The Source and the Summit (JH-Adult)
This video presents a comprehensive investigation of the Eucharist in 3 parts: In part one, We Participate, we look at the Eucharist in the Mass, how we gather aroundit, sharing the story, the sacrifice and the meal. In part 2, We Pray, we take at look at Eucharistic Adoration, why we do it, who does it and what does it mean? Finally, in We Practice, we see how we as Catholic Christians share the gift of Eucharist with others through our good works.

Eucharist: It's All About Christ (ADULT)
Dan Connors presents three aspects of Eucharist in a parish: This Sacred Place, This Sacred Meal, and This Sacred People. An excellent resource for parish leaders and ministers, especially RCIA teams, candidates, and catechumens, these presentations invite parishioners to think deeply about all aspects of the sacred mysteries of our faith, with particular focus on the Eucharist.
