World Religions: Many Though One (ADULT)
In Egypt, four million Catholics worship in seven different religious rites. One is the Latin rite, most familiar to Westerners. The others are the rites of the Eastern Church--the Armenian Rite, the Marionite Rite, the Greek Melkite Rite, the Chaldean Rite, the Syrian Rite, and the largest, the Coptic Rite. Clergy and lay people explain their beliefs and practices, providing viewers with an introduction to the Eastern Church.

Holy Land, Holy People: The Holy City (HS, ADULT)
This is the second in a series of six videos, four of which are available in the Diocesan Video and resource Center. It examines the critical place of Jerusalem within all three religions. The history and current status of Jerusalem through the eyes of religious leaders and activists who are determined to achieve peace and social justice for everyone who calls Jerusalem a Holy City.

Holy Land, Holy People: The Word (HS, ADULT)
This is the fourth in a series of six videos, four of which are available in the Diocesan Video and Resource Center. It explores the place of sacred writings in three major religions. The primacy of the Torah within Judaism, the centrality of the Gospels for Christianity, and the immutability of the Koran for Islam, testify to the special place and reference accorded to the revealed word of God.

Holy Land, Holy People: The Living Spirit (HS, ADULT)
This is the sixth in a series of six videos, four of which are available in the Diocesan Video and Resource Center. It graphically reveals individuals within Judaism, Christianity and Islam as ongoing sources of light and hope for others. Beyond questions of politics and peace, the spirit of God, through the prophetic leadership of some outstanding individual believers, continues to inspire and give life to Jews, Christians and Muslims in the region and world-wide.

Understanding Christian Symbols (JH, HS, ADULT)
The video explores several Christian symbols and their roots in personal human experience and salvation history--connections to the eternal which move us to respond to God with love. From the Alpha and Omega to tongues of fire, from the baptismal font to the cross and crown, this video links the richness of tradition to the life of the contemporary believer. This is a much-needed resource for Confirmation classes and is equally appropriate for adult groups. It incorporates history and theology in a visually compelling format, and increases students' understanding of other Christian traditions as well as their own. A guide with discussion questions and suggested activities accompanies the video.
