Day of Rest and Spiritual Renewal: Greening Our Lives SOLD OUT

A Pastoral Care Ministry Day of Rest & Spiritual Renewal

I came so that they might have life and have it more abundantly - John 10:10b

We invite you to spend the day with Pastoral Care Ministry colleagues and friends as we refresh and renew our spirits. Chris Koellhoffer, a Sister, Servant of the Immaculate Heart of Mary (IHM – Scranton), is an author, presenter, and spiritual guide.

“We inhabit a world that is both beautiful and wounded. In our ministries of pastoral care, we’re often drawn into companioning others whose lives are fragile or broken by illness, loss, or grief. What are we to do when the very service we offer taps so deeply into our reserves of compassion and energy?

We may find hints in the unfolding season of spring where we see viriditas, the greening power of life envisioned by Hildegard of Bingen. As caregivers engaged in the healing and repairing of our world, we’re invited to enter a day of greening that offers us Sabbath time, a chance to assess our energy and spirit, restore our balance, and move us towards the fullness of abundant life God dreams for us. This day will include stillness, prayer, reflection, and conversation for our own nurturing, well-being, and the greening of our lives.”
