Catholic Communication Campaign

Your gift makes our work possible.

If you follow the Diocese of Albany on social media or visit the diocesan website for regular updates, you’ve seen first-hand some of the work you support with your contributions to the annual Catholic Communication Campaign, which will be taken up in parishes throughout the Diocese the weekend of June 1-2. Fifty percent of every dollar donated to the Catholic Communication Campaign stays right here in our Diocese; the rest goes to support efforts to spread the Good News in places where there would otherwise be no resources. In short, your contribution is directly responsible for bringing the Gospel to a world that is hungry for good news and the Good News.

With your support, we are able to create beautiful graphics to mark feast days and special occasions on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and Pinterest; we keep the 20190529 CCC image.pngdiocesan website up to date in an effort to inform and inspire, educate and encourage; we record video messages from Bishop Scharfenberger and from everyday Catholics who want to share their own faith stories; we reach out to local secular media in order to bring those stories beyond the boundaries of our parishes; and we support the work of The Evangelist in covering the people and places and events we think you’ll find compelling.

The Communications Office of the Diocese of Albany has greatly expanded its reach over the past few years thanks to your support and the vision of Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger. Bishop recognizes the importance of reaching people where they are – not just in the pews, but on Facebook pages and Twitter feeds. As we look toward the future, we continue to seek out new ways to bring the Good News to the margins, reaching those who might not get to Mass on Sundays and even those who have not yet heard the Gospel message. With your help, we can give people spiritual food to lift them up and maybe even bring them home.

Thank you for considering a contribution to this year’s Catholic Communication Campaign. You can donate through your parish in the collection this weekend or send a donation directly to our offices: Catholic Communication Campaign, Diocese of Albany, 40 North Main Ave., Albany, NY 12203. Make your check payable to the Diocese of Albany, but be sure to write “Catholic Communication Campaign” in the memo portion.

God bless you for all you do to spread the Good News around our Diocese and across the globe. We are so grateful!
