Under the direction of the Diocesan Comptroller, the Finance Department Administrative Assistant will be working in a fast-paced, busy office environment, accounting for multiple entities with deadlines. In addition to the skills necessary to provide administrative and clerical support, success in this position is dependent on the ability to communicate with tact, and to work and interact effectively with co-workers the public and the entities we serve.
Under the direction of the Diocesan Comptroller, the Parish Bookkeeping Support Specialist is responsible for: The support of parish personnel in the use of Diocesan mandated Parish Data Systems (PDS) accounting software and training of parish personnel, as needed, on how to use PDS accounting software. The oversight of the annual requests for budget and fiscal year-end financial reports from the parishes. Assisting parish personnel with bookkeeping and payroll questions. In the execution of these duties, the incumbent performs routine to moderately complex accounting tasks.
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for ongoing maintenance and repairs of the church buildings. Depending on the type of work to be done and on the Technician’s own qualifications, s/he may perform minor repairs him/herself or coordinate with church volunteers or custodial staff to do so.
