Full-Time | On-Site | Mission-Focused Leadership Albany Diocesan Cemeteries (ADC) is seeking a seasoned, mission-driven Director of Finance/Comptroller to join our well-established, ministry-oriented organization serving the Catholic community across New York’s Capital Region. This is an opportunity to apply your financial expertise in support of a compassionate, service-focused nonprofit with a long history of accompanying families in times of need.
The Director of Finance/Comptroller is responsible for the full scope of financial operations, including:
· Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, accounting, or a related field required; MBA and/or CPA preferred.
· Minimum of 3 years of accounting experience, preferably with accrued accounting methods. Experience in the cemetery or funeral industry is a plus.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks or comparable accounting software required.
· Strong leadership skills grounded in a servant-leadership mindset, with the ability to inspire and support teams.
This part-time position will help extend hospitality to those who come into the rectory, perform secretarial duties for the pastor, send out parish communications and more.

The Assistant Director of Faith Formation will, under the direction and in collaboration with the Pastor or his designee, coordinate Faith Formation activities for PreK-12 in order to support the discipleship formation of this age group. This position will also be responsible for the assessment, design, implementation and evaluation of all faith formation ministries and catechists within the assigned sector, as well as neighboring sectors within the Network as needed. It will ensure that all programming is consistent with diocesan and parish standards for safety and curriculum. The position will report directly to the Pastor or his designee.
Flexible location in Athens, Coxsackie or Ravena for office support in planning. Travel to set up and supervise sessions at multiple sites is required.

The Assistant Director of Faith Formation must possess the demonstrated ability to organize and supervise a faith formation program for the assigned sector. Must possess a combination of education, training and desire needed to assist the sector to grow and develop in the future. A minimum of two years of experience leading programs, teaching or satisfactory equivalent.
Knowledge and experience with parishioners of all ages. Knowledge of the principles and practices applied to a parish/sector religious education program. Knowledge and living out of Roman Catholic faith teachings and practices throughout the Network communities. Ability to develop and adapt to various religious education curriculums and programs. Ability to work with volunteer catechists. Ability to instill and maintain enthusiasm in volunteers. Possession of excellent written and spoken communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours on nights and weekends. Sincerity, confidentiality, commitment and the understanding of the dynamics of parish life and the unique circumstances of the parishes, the Network sectors and the Network. Good computer skills.
This position requires physical stamina to present classes and discussions to groups and individuals if needed. Lifting supplies/materials up to 25 pounds and setting up classroom/event areas is often required.
Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Background Check, agreement with The Standard Code of Conduct of the Diocese of Albany, the Diocesan Technology Policy, and the Diocesan Social Media Use Policy, and completion of CMG training.
