Most of the clinical work is conducted in-person, but remote therapy is also possible depending on the needs of the client and the Center. We are seeking highly competent licensed psychologists and clinical social workers to join our team of 14 therapists. While affiliated with our agency, our clinicians work as independent contractors/self-employed (and are not direct employees). A minimum individual therapy caseload of 5 clients is required, but beyond that, clinicians are free to accept as many clients as their personal schedules allow. Opportunities for couples, family, and group therapy also exist. No on-call responsibilities. Our therapists are required to maintain their own malpractice insurance. This position will work well for clinicians who are looking to supplement other income, or who are working in other settings and are interested in adding private practice work. Therapists set their own hours and work the days/evenings they desire. Each clinician’s caseload is built primarily via referrals to the Center, but many therapists also receive direct referrals. Typically, the Clinical Director completes an intake interview with potential new clients, and then matches them with therapists based on expertise and availability. Most potential clients expect to use insurance to pay for the therapy. Therapists receive a flat fee per therapy hour commensurate with their licensed professional degree, regardless of insurance reimbursement rates. For therapists not already established as preferred providers for top insurers, our administrative staff will complete required paper work to enroll them on insurance and HMO panels. Scheduling, phone and email messaging, and billing is handled by our administrative staff. Therapists are free to focus on providing excellent clinical work to their clients and are able to leave the many administrative responsibilities of running a practice to us.
