Process Coordinator - Diocesan Review Board (DRB)

The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany has established the DRB as a confidential, consultative board, serving the Bishop of Albany by providing independent review, deliberations and recommendations regarding allegations of sexual abuse carried out by clergy (Bishop, priests and deacons of the diocese) and, as requested, by any others associated with the Church against whom similar accusations may be made. The Process Coordinator assists the DRB by organizing and maintaining confidential records, compiling materials, preparing agendas and schedules for DRB meetings.

Administrator of Faith Formation Program

The Administrator of Faith Formation is responsible for planning, directing and administering the faith formation program for children/youth and their families in Grades Kindergarten – High School. This part-time parish staff position will be compensated according to diocesan guidelines dependent on certification level, education, and experience.

Maintenance Supervisor

The Parish of Mater Christi, a thriving neighborhood Catholic parish, seeks an experienced individual to be a working supervisor and oversee the maintenance and upkeep of buildings and grounds, all located in the city of Albany.

Sacristan

In general, this role serves as an arranger for worship services, ensuring that vestments and linens are arranged and ready, that altar vessels are kept safe, that consumables like altar wines and altar bread are in adequate supply, and that the church as a whole is kept secure and in veneration shape.

Executive Director of Development and Stewardship

The Diocese of Albany, New York has an immediate opening for a full-time Executive Director of Development and Stewardship. The successful applicant will serve as the leader of the Office of Development and Stewardship as well as the Executive Director of the Diocesan Foundation.

Secretary

There is an immediate opening for a secretary at the law firm of Tobin and Dempf. The position is full time, with benefits, including parking in downtown Albany.

Parish Music Director

Planning, leading and playing music on the organ for Saturday and Sunday liturgies, holy days, faith formation events, funerals, and weddings.

Custodian positions are available at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, Albany, NY.

Administrative Assistant - Pastoral Planning

The Administrative Assistant for Pastoral Planning works with the Director for Pastoral Planning to support the parishes, Local Catholic Communities and Vicariates as they develop ongoing pastoral plans for their areas. This person will also help develop pastoral council formation curriculum. This person will also work with the Director to assure the Diocesan Pastoral Plan is current and follows the vision of Bishop.

Data Entry Clerk - St. Mary’s Church

Parish Data Entry Clerk will provide support to the Pastor/Administrator updating the parish census, and assisting the parish secretary in extending hospitality and welcome to all who come to the rectory or call on the phone.

Sacramental Coordinator

The Sacramental Coordinator is a Pastoral Associate for Faith Formation who is responsible for coordinating the process of formation, celebration and mystagogy of the following sacraments: The immediate preparation for Infant Baptism, The immediate preparation for First Reconciliation and First Eucharist, The immediate preparation for Confirmation.

Data Entry Clerk

Support staff to assist with the processing of donations during period of increased volume in the Stewardship office.

Part-time Spanish Teacher

Blessed Sacrament School is seeking a part-time Spanish teacher for grades Nursery through 8. The duties of a Spanish language teacher include creating lesson plans, preparing classroom activities, organizing teaching materials, evaluating student performance, maintaining classroom records, meeting with parents, teachers and other professionals, and participating in campus events.

Campus Minister

St. Mary’s Roman Catholic Church in Oneonta, NY is seeking a part-time Campus Minister to serve the State University of New York at Oneonta and Hartwick Colleges.

CEO - Avila Retirement Community

Avila, an affiliate of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, is an independent living community situated on approximately 22 acres in the historic Pine Bush area of Albany. Avila offers 168 one- or two-bedroom apartments and 24 cottages on its campus. The Board is seeking an experienced candidate to continue to develop and enhance the excellent financial and marketing operations of Avila. The CEO will be responsible for the day to day operation of the community. In addition, the ideal candidate will be able to maintain the strategies of growth for the retirement community as well as implementing short and long term plans to achieve both financial and operational goals. The candidate must be able to lead, inspire, serve and establish a working relationship with the Board of Directors, residents, staff and members of the greater Albany Community.

Custodian

The custodian provides coordinated janitorial services in the Cathedral and provides cleaning, support, set-up services for activities and function within the parish facilities.

Family Service Representative

This is a sales position that serves families by selling burial space, memorialization, and other services. The position also schedules burial services and assists families with customer service requests. Bilingual applicants encouraged.

Groundskeeper

Albany Diocesan Cemeteries seeks a full time Groundskeeper to perform cemetery field operations.
