Parish Pastoral Care Minister

The Church of St. Vincent De Paul, Albany NY has an opening for a part time (ten to fifteen hours per week) pastoral care minister. Due to a retirement occurring in January, this position has potential to be expanded, if desired.

Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministries

Under the supervision of the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis (Director), the Coordinator of Youth and Young Adult Ministries (Coordinator) plays a key role in the implementation of the vision for ongoing faith development for the combined program of Immaculate Conception (IC), Our Lady of Grace (OLG) and St. Joseph’s (SJ). The primary focus is forming missionary disciples among the adolescents (Grades 6 - 12) and young adults (ages 18-39) of the three communities. The Coordinator will organize, plan, implement and evaluate all 8 components of ministry as outlined in the USCCB’s document “Renewing the Vision: A Framework for Catholic Youth Ministry”. The Coordinator will be the primary facilitator for young adult formation opportunities within the three parishes.

Coordinator of Family and Elementary Faith Formation

Under the supervision of the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis (Director), the Coordinator of Family and Elementary Faith Formation (Coordinator) plays a key role in the implementation of the vision for ongoing faith development for the combined program of Immaculate Conception (IC), Our Lady of Grace (OLG) and St. Joseph’s (SJ). The primary focus is supporting parents as the primary catechists of their children by offering innovative and meaningful faith formation programming for children ages 3 through 5th Grade and their families.

Administrative Assistant- Evangelization & Catechesis

Under the supervision of the Director of Evangelization and Catechesis (Director), the Administrative Assistant (Admin) provides support services for all efforts of the Evangelization and Catechesis team for the parishes of Immaculate Conception (IC), Our Lady of Grace (OLG) and St. Joseph’s (SJ).

Pastoral Associate for Administration (PAA)

The PAA, an exempt employee, serves as a staff resource to the pastor in fulfillment of his duties under canon law to administer the temporal goods of the parish. The PAA performs work duties using considerable judgment while collaborating with, communicating with, and advising the pastor on management issues involving parish operations, employees, properties, and the cemetery.

Administrative Assistant- Consultation Center

The Consultation Center of the Roman Catholic Diocese provides psychological counseling, consultative services, and educational programs in the area of mental health to individuals and groups, as well as a program of spiritual direction for those persons interested in developing a deeper relationship with God.

Parish Custodian/Groundskeeper

The Custodian position provides cleaning services, e.g. trash removal, mopping, vacuuming, restroom cleaning etc. in the school, church, Parish Office, and the rectory.

Development Assistant for Re-Igniting Our Faith Foundation

The Full Time Development Assistant reports to the Director of the Re-Igniting Our Faith Foundation and is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the Re-Igniting Our Faith Foundation, specifically handling donor relations, gift entry, and producing timely and accurate thank you letters. The anticipated duration of this position will be until the end of the pledge redemption phase (December 2024)

Temporary Database Specialist

A database specialist is responsible for the storage, retrieval, and security of digital data. As a database specialist, your duties include designing database elements, retrieving data for reports, maintaining secure data backup systems.

Pastoral Associate for Administration

Payroll and Benefits Accounting Specialist

Under the direction of the Diocesan Comptroller, the Payroll and Benefits Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing biweekly payrolls for Diocesan employees and the Re-Igniting Our Faith Foundation Inc. as well as the monthly payroll for Diocesan priests. Additional duties include extracting data and preparing reports from the payroll processing system needed to manage Diocesan wide benefit programs such as worker’s compensation and pension, maintaining records and performing accounting transactions for the Diocesan life insurance and long-term disability (ltd) benefit programs as well as the Diocesan pension plans. The incumbent will also support parish personnel on the use of the Diocesan wide payroll software. In the execution of these duties, the incumbent performs routine to moderately complex accounting tasks.

Groundskeeper - Albany Diocesan Cemeteries

Albany Diocesan Cemeteries seeks a full time Groundskeeper to perform cemetery field operations, including, but not limited to: layout of graves, markers, and foundations; operation of backhoe, trucks, tractors, and small equipment safely and efficiently; routine maintenance of cemetery equipment; digging and backfilling graves, preparing for graveside or mausoleum committal services, leading in funeral processions, performing burials or entombments; installing markers and constructing foundations; and general clean ups, leaf removal, and snow clearing in Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license.
