Part-Time Main Lobby Receptionist

Responsible for answering the telephone and greeting the public at the Pastoral Center main reception area in a manner that is consistent with the philosophy, objectives, policies and procedures of the Roman Catholic Diocese. The main lobby reception desk is staffed from 7:30am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. Part-time receptionist hours would be between 8 and 19 hours per week, depending on needed coverage.

Multimedia Specialist

Provides mission-critical support for the Communications Department of the Diocese, including website management and video production

Data Entry Clerk

Support staff to assist with the processing of charitable donations to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany.

Temporary Database Specialist

A database specialist is responsible for the storage, retrieval, and security of digital data. As a database specialist, your duties include designing database elements, retrieving data for reports, maintaining secure data backup systems.

Chancery Senior Administrative Assistant

This position performs high-level administrative tasks associated with the governance and administration of the diocese, working closely with the executive assistant to the Bishop. Maintains an orderly and productive work environment sensitive to the needs of the many individuals and offices that connect with the diocesan Curia, Vicar for Clergy, and office of the Permanent Diaconate, doing so in an efficient and confidential manner. May periodically coordinate and oversee work of other administrative support staff.

General Maintenance Worker

This position is for a full time, 40 hours per week, all-around maintenance person to work as a member of the Building Services team for the Pastoral Center at 40 North Main Avenue. In addition to the tasks performed by the entry-level person, the senior maintenance worker must be able to perform maintenance and repairs at various properties, with a high level of independence and minimal supervision.

Pastoral Associate for Administration

Payroll and Benefits Accounting Specialist

Under the direction of the Diocesan Comptroller, the Payroll and Benefits Accounting Specialist is responsible for processing biweekly payrolls for Diocesan employees and the Re-Igniting Our Faith Foundation Inc. as well as the monthly payroll for Diocesan priests. Additional duties include extracting data and preparing reports from the payroll processing system needed to manage Diocesan wide benefit programs such as worker’s compensation and pension, maintaining records and performing accounting transactions for the Diocesan life insurance and long-term disability (ltd) benefit programs as well as the Diocesan pension plans. The incumbent will also support parish personnel on the use of the Diocesan wide payroll software. In the execution of these duties, the incumbent performs routine to moderately complex accounting tasks.

Parish Business Manager

The Parish Business Manager serves as a proactive staff resource in support of the pastor, fulfilling parish needs in finance, facilities, buildings and grounds and properties. Performs work duties using considerable judgment while collaborating with and advising the pastor on issues involving the parishes and cemetery.

Groundskeeper - Albany Diocesan Cemeteries

Albany Diocesan Cemeteries seeks a full time Groundskeeper to perform cemetery field operations, including, but not limited to: layout of graves, markers, and foundations; operation of backhoe, trucks, tractors, and small equipment safely and efficiently; routine maintenance of cemetery equipment; digging and backfilling graves, preparing for graveside or mausoleum committal services, leading in funeral processions, performing burials or entombments; installing markers and constructing foundations; and general clean ups, leaf removal, and snow clearing in Albany Diocesan Cemeteries. High school diploma or GED, valid driver's license.
