Resources ... Support ... Contacts
Walking with Moms in Need is a nationwide, parish-based initiative to increase support for pregnant and parenting mothers in need. It works to ensure that any woman who finds herself unexpectedly pregnant, or parenting in difficult circumstances, can turn to her local Catholic Church and be connected with the resources she needs. Volunteers walk with moms throughout the motherhood journey, offering them authentic Christian friendship and ongoing support.

Birthright of Schenectady
Birthright helps women and their babies from the time a woman is pregnant until baby is a year old. This help comes in the form of material resources from maternity clothing, a Take Home from the Hospital bag when Mom is 7 months pregnant, a bundle of supplies after baby is born and monthly support. Our volunteers are here to help Moms navigate the first year with baby through the interactions that come with each visit. This help can be a listening ear, used clothing, diapers and wipes. We might not have every resource you need, but we will help you locate the resource in the area. If you are a Dad, Grandparent, Aunt or Uncle who is supporting a baby, Birthright can also help you. The office is located at 12 Jay Street and open Monday-Friday form 10 - 1. No appointment is needed! https://birthright.org/schenectady

Community Maternity Services (Catholic Charities)
Community Maternity Services (CMS), an agency of Catholic Charities of the Diocese of Albany, was founded in 1971 as a single residential program providing services to pregnant adolescents. The agency has grown over the years to meet the changing needs of the children, adolescents, and families in our communities. Today CMS provides a continuum of services including care for pregnant and parenting adolescents, and their families; group residence and prevention services and supports for families at risk. https://www.cccms.org/
New Life Maternity
New Life Maternity provides a haven for expectant mothers who otherwise might choose abortion. Knowing over 70% of women choose abortion because of a lack of material and emotional support, we believed providing a safe home for them truly gives a healthy option. Sisters of Life serve on their spiritual board. https://newlifematernity.org/
