BISHOP MARK O'CONNELL TO HOST PRAYER SERVICE FOR PEOPLE WHO FEEL EXILED FROM THE CATHOLIC CHURCH

August 21, 2026

A recent visit to the St. Kateri Tekakwitha National Shrine & Historic Site in Fonda, inspired Bishop Mark O’Connell to reach out to all who feel exiled from the Catholic Church.
St. Kateri is the patron of people in exile.

Bishop Mark is inviting all who feel separated from the Church to a prayer service at the Shrine this Sunday, August 23 at 1pm.

You can learn more about how this came about from Bishop Mark himself.  Here is a link to a letter that he wrote for the diocesan newspaper The Evangelist.
