On behalf of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany, I extend a heartfelt welcome to Bishop-Designate John Bonnici, who was chosen by Pope Leo XIV to serve as the 10th Bishop of the Diocese of Rochester. We look forward to partnering with him in this new role.
We also congratulate Bishop Salvatore R. Matano for his many years of dedicated service to the Diocese of Rochester and the Church. We pray that he experiences God's peaceful presence in his retirement.
