Bishop Scharfenberger Announces Administrative, Pastoral Assignments

Bishop Scharfenberger has announced the following administrative and pastoral assignments:

Father Robert Longobucco as Moderator of the Curia, while remaining Vicar General, Vicar for Faith Formation and Education, and Pastor of St. Kateri Tekakwitha Parish, effective July 1, 2021.

Father David R. LeFort as Diocesan Director of the Pontifical Mission Societies (including the Society for the Propagation of the Faith) with residence at the Parish of Mater Christi, Albany, while remaining Vicar General, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Anthony Ligato as Rector of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, while remaining Vicar for Vocations and Rector of the pre-seminary, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Joseph G. Busch as Pastor of the Catholic Community of St. Cecilia, Warrensburg, while remaining Pastor of Our Lady of Annunciation, Queensbury, and Sacred Heart Church, Lake George, as well as Episcopal Vicar of the Adirondack Vicariate, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Jay Atherton as Pastor of Sacred Heart, Cairo; St. John the Baptist Church, Greenville, and Our Lady of Knock Shrine, East Durham, while remaining Pastor of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Windham, and Sacred Heart-Immaculate Conception Church, Haines Falls, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Rendell Torres as Pastor of St. Joseph the Worker, Richfield Springs, and St. Joseph the Worker, West Winfield, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Brian Lehnert as Administrator of the Parish of Mater Christi, Albany, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Kyle Eads as Parochial Vicar of Sacred Heart, Cairo; St. John the Baptist Church, Greenville, and Our Lady of Knock Shrine, East Durham, while remaining Parochial Vicar of St. Theresa of the Child Jesus Church, Windham, and Sacred Heart-Immaculate Conception Church, Haines Falls, effective July 1, 2021.

Father Zachariah Chichester as Parochial Vicar of Our Lady of Hope Church, Whitehall; St. Ann’s Church, Fort Ann, and St. Mary’s Church, Granville, effective July 1, 2021.
