Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger will celebrate the annual White Mass for Health Care Workers on Saturday, Oct. 12, at 5:15 p.m. at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany. Doctors, nurses, pharmacists and other health care professionals are invited to attend the liturgy, which is sponsored by the St. Luke’s Guild and the Albany Catholic Medical Guild.
The White Mass — named for the color worn by those in the medical profession — gathers health care professionals under the patronage of St. Luke to ask God’s blessing on patients, doctors, nurses, and caregivers alike.
