Diocese of Albany Prepares for Holy Week, Sacred Triduum, Easter

The following is a schedule of Holy Week, Sacred Triduum, and Easter liturgies the Diocese of Albany will celebrate at the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception in Albany (125 Eagle St.). Many of the services (indicated below) will be livestreamed on the diocesan website: www.rcda.org/livestream. 

Sunday, Apr. 10

Confessions, 10:15 a.m.

Palm Sunday Mass, 11 a.m. Fr. Anthony Ligato, rector, Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, presiding (livestreamed)

Palm Sunday Mass, 5 p.m., Fr. Ligato presiding

Wednesday, Apr. 13, 5:15 p.m.

Holy Hour Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and Benediction (Confession during Holy Hour)

Holy Thursday, Apr. 14, 5:15 p.m.

Mass of the Lord’s Supper, Fr. Ligato presiding (livestreamed). Adoration follows until 10 p.m., concluding with Night Prayer

Good Friday, Apr. 15

Morning Prayer, 9 a.m.

Confessions, 11 a.m. – 1 p.m.

Stations of the Cross – 3:30 p.m. (livestreamed)
Solemn Liturgy of the Lord’s Passion and Death, 5:15 p.m., Fr. Ligato presiding. (livestreamed)

Holy SaturdayApr. 16, 8 p.m.

Great Easter Vigil, Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger, Bishop of Albany, presiding. The new fire will be kindled, the proclamation of the Exsultet, the Liturgy of the Word, reception of new members into the Church, and the Liturgy of the Eucharist. (livestreamed)
