Bishop Edward B. Scharfenberger has announced the following administrative and pastoral appointments:
Administrative Appointments
Father James Ebert has been appointed Vicar for Clergy, effective September 1. He will continue as Pastor of Mater Christi, Albany.
Thomas G. Cronin has been appointed Advisor to the Bishop for Family and Parish Evangelization, effective June 30.
Pastor Appointments
Father Thomas Konopka has been appointed Pastor of the Church of St. Mary, Clinton Heights, effective August 1. He will continue his ministry at the diocesan Consultation Center.
Father Steve Matthews has been appointed Pastor of St. John the Baptist, Greenville, and Sacred Heart, Cairo (with Our Lady of Knock Shrine), effective August 1.
Parochial Vicar Appointments
Father Juanito Asprec has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Blessed Sacrament, Albany, effective immediately.
Father John Cronin has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Mater Christi, Albany, effective immediately.
Father Michael Flannery has been appointed Parochial Vicar of Historic St. Mary’s, Albany, effective August 1.
Father John Tallman has been appointed Parochial Vicar of the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception, effective August 1.
