The Roman Catholic Diocese of Albany has once again launched a webpage sharing nearly 30 opportunities to pray for healing and peace as the nation remembers the September 11 attacks of 25 years ago.
The webpage, found at https://www.rcda.org/remembering-911 includes the following services taking place on September 11, 2026:
- Mass with Bishop Mark O’Connell: at Historic St. Mary’s Church, 10 Lodge St., Albany beginning at 12:05 p.m.
- Reading of the Names of the Deceased, at St Pius X Church, 23 Crumitie Rd., Loudonville, following a 12 p.m. prayer service. The reading of the names is expected to last for hours. All are welcome for all or part of the remembrance.
- Holy Hour for World Peace: 1pm at St. Thomas Church, 35 Adams Pl, Delmar.

Honoring First Responders: The 11am Mass at St. Luke’s, 1235 State St., Schenectady, will honor all first responders; firefighters, police officers, and medical technicians who served on that tragic day, and will remember all who died and their families.
- Tolling of the Bells: The church bell at St. Vincent de Paul, 138 Washington Ave., Cobleskill will toll 25 times at 9 a.m., once for each year that has passed since the attacks.
