Qualified candidates should have basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Previous experience with being responsible for facility maintenance is a plus.

Pastor

• Collaborate with the Music/Choir Director and Pastor in determining the repertoire for all liturgies
• Assists with the selection of appropriate music based on scripture readings on a weekly basis

SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Ensures smooth operation of parish office under the supervision of Pastoral Associate for Administration

• Collaborate with Parish Commissions in developing and implementing the mission.

Administrative Responsibilities

• Impart the Catholic faith in everyday life through contact with public both by telephone, in person, and through electronic media.

Constitutive Liturgical Roles 

• Preparation of worship aids for parish funerals, weddings and other liturgical services including appropriate collateral material.
• Scheduling, coordination, and preparation of Announcements, Prayers of the Faithful, Altar Linens, Shrine of Remembrance, Intention Requests, Children’s Bulletins, Liturgy of the Hours as well as others that may be necessary from time to time.
• Supports parish liturgical services through maintenance of a sufficient inventory of supplies including, but not limited to, Hosts, Candles, Altar Wine, Printed envelopes. Serves as liaison with vendor(s)
• Attends staff meetings and other committee/commission meetings as appropriate.
• Prepares weekly bulletin and serves as liaison with bulletin publisher
• Prepare, update, and distribute parish communications, including the weekly bulletin, flyers, website content, My Parish App announcements, social media posts, electronic communications, and other promotional materials as needed.
• Make appropriate entries into Sacramental Records Book and issue Sacramental Certificates upon request

• Familiarity with analytics tools and using data to improve engagement is a plus.

St. Edward the Confessor

Pastor or his designee

• Support and Administer the Network Faith Formation Program for all students in grades PreK-12. 
• Ensure supply of texts, online and concrete resources, and preparation of teaching spaces.  
• Participate in regular evaluation and development of programs according to the needs of the families served and results of updated research and experiences. 
• ​Participate in ongoing professional development in the area of Roman Catholic youth ministry and spiritual formation. 
• Provide ongoing recruitment, formation/training, support and evaluation of catechists and volunteers working in the Faith Formation Program. 
• Participate as an ad-hoc catechist when needed.
• ​Support opportunities for retreats, Christian service, diocesan programming and any national and regional gatherings at the direction of the Pastor. 
• ​Ensure that households participating within the sector Faith Formation Programs are up-to-date with parish registration in the Realm system at the start of each program year. 
• Support surveys of skills and interests for all grade 5 and above and their families at the request of the Pastor.  
• Ensure that Faith Formation Programs are in accord with Diocesan and Catholic Church guidelines and teachings.

The Assistant Director of Faith Formation must possess the demonstrated ability to organize and supervise a faith formation program for the assigned sector.  Must possess a combination of education, training and desire needed to assist the sector to grow and develop in the future. A minimum of two years of experience leading programs, teaching or satisfactory equivalent.

Knowledge and experience with parishioners of all ages.  Knowledge of the principles and practices applied to a parish/sector religious education program. Knowledge and living out of Roman Catholic faith teachings and practices throughout the Network communities. Ability to develop and adapt to various religious education curriculums and programs. Ability to work with volunteer catechists. Ability to instill and maintain enthusiasm in volunteers. Possession of excellent written and spoken communication skills. Willingness to work flexible hours on nights and weekends. Sincerity, confidentiality, commitment and the understanding of the dynamics of parish life and the unique circumstances of the parishes, the Network sectors and the Network. Good computer skills.

This position requires physical stamina to present classes and discussions to groups and individuals if needed.  Lifting supplies/materials up to 25 pounds and setting up classroom/event areas is often required.
